Mineral oil or Propylene glycol?

Looking for real time feedback on what is the best fluid to fill my tank mount transducer with.

An Airmar tech says they both work the same, hard for me to believe.

Anyone with some first hand experience??

if you go with mineral oil, bear in mind any hvac supply store will carry it in gallon or quart containers.

What's it used for in the HVAC line? Googled mineral oil, seems to be many different weights, not sure what will work best.

mineral oil is one of the many types used in the compressors for lubrication, there is pag, poe (polyolester), and several viscosities of these as well as mineral.
