I was there. Fished out of wanchese on a 34 hatteras. Low I was at Broadcreek Friday afternoon and saw that your boat was up to the main dock. Was going to come down and speak but you looked like you were having some problems so I watched a few minutes then went back over to Joe's to see if he had the part I needed for my boat but he didnt. I hope you guys did a whole lot better than we did saturday. We caught 2 tuna.

That was propably Steve from Joes Marine servicing my genset and fixing a ram seal. I didn't get down till around 6:15 pm.
We gave up on the Tuna around 1:30 Saturday, with only 1 knock down. I ran up to the 680 hole and caught some nice Tilefish.
Sorry we missed each other.

How was your ride out saturday morning? That hatteras almost jarred my teeth out a time or 2 on the ride at 20 knots. I was sure wishing I was on my classic that morning.

The ride was great, like always. I had 2 watermen from up here in the bay area for their first ocean trip. The were shocked that we cruised 25 knots without pounding. It just seemed to be a confused sea state with a SE swell and a WSW wind wave.
I heard a fellow in one of those well known eggbeater boats. With the initials of our president. Say how it must have been blowing 20kts out of the SW and how long of a ride he had in. I never saw all that. I thought it was pretty nice.
God I love my boat!

That is what I told the captain of that Hatteras. He asked when we got in if I could have cruised my normal speed going out that morning. I was like heck yeah and we would have been fine. But I don't think he believed me. I am going to have to get out of hatteras soon on my boat they are catching wahoo out of there and a few gaffers mixed in as well.

I am jammed up for the next couple of months. I have one project manager having back surgery and I let another go for doing side work on the clock.
I hope when Spring starts I will have some more time.

That sucks. I am sure there will still be fish around when you get where you are not so busy. If you get an open weekend and want to go let me know you are always welcome on the Sea time.
