I have mine mounted on the hardtop, far enough back so it does not illuminate the fore deck. Can't recall the brand right now.

we have one mounted on the hardtop a little to the right i think the brand is go-lite they work great and the cost wont break the bank

I picked up the ACR100 spotlight and am thinking about mounting it on the bottom side of the tower helm box where the horn is currently. Anyone have an opinion on that location?

I spoke to a dealer at the NY show and said it is only ment to be mounted upright. That is where I wanted to mount it but no good. I am going to make a plate and bolt it to the underside of that box and mount it upright in front.

That would be my choice. I've seen others mounted there and one benefit would be keeping it out of the way so it doesn't get accidental stepped on, banged into, or kicked.
