Installing radar dome on new CC28

I have removed my Furuno 4KW from my old boat and plan to install it on my new 28 CC. It already has the short bracket which worked well on the other boat. Should I increase the height of the bracket for the radar dome, or is the present one enough to do the job? I fish mainly 20-30 miles offshore for tuna. Thanks,

I believe most of the 28 owners here have 4K open arrays as opposed to domes and the rotating element is at most 2' above the hard top.


With any sort of bracket your probably within inches of the same height as our arrays anyways. Might as well use what you have - plenty of other places to spend money as it is ;)
