New Furuno 585 fishfinder

Has anyone been using this new fishfinder from Furuno? It is used with a thru hull transducer and is supposed to be the best on the market. Thanks,

I have an 06 25 yanmar st. inb. and put in the 585.It is by far the best resolution of any unit I have viewed. Very happy with my choice.

I was just curious. I have the 1650dpgs unit and paid about the same price 4 years ago. The sounder doesn't work well at the canyon but otherwise it serves my purpose...probably a cheap transducer. I'll deal with it for another year. Thanks.

which transducer are you using? THe 600 or 1kw? What is your max depth, can you mark fish on the bottom in 8-900 ft of water?
